Today we met Tony and Guy, they are going to help us get our special fabric printed. Incredible. Every so often you meet real craftspeople, who do their thing just because, well it is in their blood. Tony screen prints on anything and loves a challenge; he talks about mesh and burning with a serious and slightly unsettling fire in his eyes. It turns out that Tony and I have a mutual friend who refers to him as dirty Tony; since he looked and smelt pretty fresh I can only imagine why he is "dirty". So Dirty Tony and his friend Guy told us about their adventures as freelance screen printers, they do some mad crazy bad stuff....Huge Museums stands, Wallpapers covered in mobile phones and busted prams, rock band promos. They can print on Glass, plastic, metal...We were in awe!
