...A day in the life...
10:30 - I arrive, slightly ruffled usually covered in glitter. No picture, get real.
11:15 - Oh gosh, it's my mum. Don't ask!

12:00 - Aluxe begins work on one of her fabric designs.

1:00 - Millie's on the phone ordering samples.

She does this to relax....
1:30 - Stuart starts painting.

5:00 - Miss Jones inspects fabric for a toile and gets ready to pattern cut.

7:00 - Accompanied by George (who collects Perry) and Gabhan we foolishly attempt to visit the Grayson Perry opening to which we'd actually been invited; we are treated rather coarsely by security. Apparently we had to attend the dinner to be given priority admission; but unfortunately due to Stuart's allergies it is not always advisable to eat food produced in unknown circumstances. There is a massive queue that is moving incredibly slowly. We see Peirs Secunda (respected curator and artist) and Renante Toca (artist) who have also disastrously been left outside and chat.
Somebody inside who recognises Gabhan sees him waiting and motions for him to come in, smoothing things with the Art Bouncer. I say Art Bouncer, because this guy is something of a curiosity, he is a Westend heavy type who lends his hard patter to the protection of Perry’s pots. Learning menacingly into Stuart and explaining why we were snubbed at the door he described the gravity of the situation “this is very valuable art work, I don’t think you understand”. I beg to differ!

8:00 – We go back to the studio. Everyone apart from me blagged it in, I stayed outside with Piers and told him about AYCE TV. When Stuart, Gabhan and George have had their fill of Perry we go back to the studio and eat cake and drank tea, a pleasant end to a frustrating evening.
